My new Illustration website is up! Plus, it’s on tumblr, so you can follow it!
I’ll be putting more and more of my portfolio up over the next few days.
I go to school with some pretty incredibly people/artists.
LIZ PULIDO (http://lizpulido.com)
- The first is Liz Pulido. She’s…well, she’s just incredible. We’re doing our BFA show together in December, since we both (separately) chose to focus on retelling Post Apocalyptic stories set in the UK by using the Hero’s Journey. Hers? A retelling of Peter Pan. That’s right. An apocalyptic retelling of Peter freaking Pan.
She draws beautiful men.
Another favorite by Liz:
The second is also a good friend of mine.
BRITTANY TINGEY (http://brittanytingey.com)
- She’s been drawing a lot of Norse Mythology lately, which is one of my favorite things. It should be your favorite thing too. She used to work as an artist at a theme park, so she’s the boss at drawing people. She draws awesome sexy ladies sometimes, too.
She also does these amazing environments. This is one of my favorites, which is the Lestrange estate.
ALSO: They were BOTH chosen for the Society of Illustrators Student Competition!
Either the scariest or cutest Jack in the Box ever.

So a little while ago I played MASH for the first time since 1997. That’s right, MASH? Remember MASH?
Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House. You choose options for different categories, such as future spouse, job, income, pet, number of children, car, death, etc. Then you draw a spiral, and when the person you are MASHing says stop, you count the number of lines in the spiral. Using that number, you then count through the options, eliminating the ones you land on.
Everybody plays it differently. Some people are boring, and only do 4 categories (house, spouse, kids, income) but me and my friends tried to include as many categories as possible.
Most of my friends would end up with pretty good results, like marrying Leonardo DiCaprio and living in a mansion and driving a porsche.
We seriously need to meet IRL, because I feel like we’re already friends and you know every single person I know.
Also, Skyrim characters, soon.
Ooh! Thank you! I just looked it up on Wikipedia and it looks lovely. I’ll definitely try it out.
I always love book suggestions from people!
