They are different but not so much so that it’s hard to communicate. I learned south welsh because that’s what was taught at my university. It differs in little ways sorta like British and American English. I actually wish I had tried learning north welsh since that’s where my family comes from originally. But knowing south welsh, I can still communicate just fine on the streets of north wales. It just depends on your preference. :) a lot more people have a northern dialect though. :)
The study of placenames (or toponymy) in Wales reveals significant features of the country’s history and geography, as well of the development of the Welsh language.
Early inhabitants of Wales gave names first to noteworthy natural features, such as rivers, hills, mountains, harbours and shores….

Sketch. Sketch a whole lot. Fill up sketch books. Also, sometimes communities have really inexpensive/good art classes you could sign up for. Or if you’re in University or High School, I’d say take the beginning art classes.
But until then, sketch a lot. Do studies of things you see, and don’t worry if they look bad.
